The presence of women in the field of technology is still residual . There is a lack of talent in the ICT industry, which month after month continues to get job offers that run the risk of not being covered, but above all there is a lack of female talent.

Engineering and technological careers still count among their students many more boys than girls. And this gender difference ends up being transferred to the companies themselves.

According to data contributed by BoldData, the percentage of female CEOs in ICT companies today it is only 2.9% .

This problem is shared by other industries, such as manufacturing, where the presence of women who are executive directors falls to 2.7% and only increases in specific segments such as clothing or jewelry. Meanwhile, it is reduced to a minimum in companies dedicated to oil and gas: (0.005%).

In the construction industry, for its part, only 1.4% of women have become CEOs.
