Huawei combines the latest in mobile technology with capabilities to photo-generation, a cocktail that will help the manufacturer in its climb to the first global position.

Special from Barcelona

The long-awaited flagship of the chinese manufacturer is already official. The Huawei P10 has presented today in Barcelona with the occasion of the Mobile World Congress 2017 and has done so by complying with the expectations placed on him during the last months.

Along with this model also appears its bigger brother, the Huawei Q10 Plus, as well as the second generation of the smartwatch, a Huawei Watch 2 (with the variety of high-end Porsche Design) each time lighter and with the possibility to insert a nano SIM card.

The smartphone P10 maintains a similar design to the successful P9, though note the work done by engineers to reduce further the housing and the frame, which is adjusted to the maximum of 5.1 inches of your screen, Corning Gorilla 5 resolution to 1920×1080 pixels (5.5 inches for the model P9 Plus).

The launch is further evidence that Huawei wants to continue at the forefront of innovation within the competitive world of smart phones. Has included the SoC Kirin 960 8 cores, the most powerful and advanced of its range up to date. It is joint to perfection with the memory of 4GB, although it is possible to go up to 6GB in more advanced configurations.

According to the manufacturer, the GPU hosted on this SoC increases performance in a 180% while it is 40% more efficient to consume energy. At this point it is worth remembering that the batteries have also improved: The P10 offers 3.200 mAh, while the P10 Plus comes to the 3.750 mAh. is Richard Yu, ceo of Huawei’s Consumer Business Group, announced during the presentation that this combination achieves greater autonomy of the market, with almost two days of normal use, and 1.3 days of heavy use.

On the side of the connectivity, Huawei also is well ahead of the competition to bring to market the first terminal LTE 4.5 G. Yes, to enjoy these speeds of access will have to wait for the operators to adapt their networks of telecommunications for the new specification (which will link to the 5G).

however, to compensate the balance in the use of multiple applications, Huawei has developed a so-called Ultra Memory to adapt intelligently the consumption in function of their availability and of the running applications. It is a learning algorithm based on the habits of each particular user.

The Huawei P10 and P10 Plus they will arrive at Spanish stores from march. On this occasion we have increased the colours available, as is the case of the Greenery, Pantone color of the year 2017.

Leica makes a difference

Without a doubt, the photography section is probably the most attractive in this series started last year with the Huawei P9. The joint work with Leica has resulted in a dual lens system that reaches version 2.0 with the P10. In addition to a much faster approach and better quality in the optics designed and implemented by this company, two image sensors of 20 MPpixels and 12 MPpixels have been incorporated. The first one is monochrome, while the second one processes the color of the image, something that already happened in the previous generation.

But Huawei has wanted to go one step further and has applied the technology of Leica lenses also in the front camera , perhaps one of the less attractive points of the Huawei P9. This detail allows self-portraits or ‘selfies’ to visibly improve in quality and shooting options, with more natural tones, for example.
