Atta Elayyan was a well-known professional player of Counter-Strike: Source that redirected his career to application developer and futsal player. Sadly, she is also one of the 50 fatalities of the shooting at the mosque last Friday in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Elayyan won different tournaments with the New Zealand Counter-Strike New Type team. As he explained in Game Planet , his team spent many hours playing and practicing together, until they finally achieved the level Enough to defeat the best Australian teams. In 2008 he left the competitive Counter-Strike scene to focus on his career as a computer scientist in Lazy Apps own company software. In Lazyworm he applied his experience as a player to develop his work. Elayyan also enjoyed a successful sports career as a futsal goalkeeper, represented New Zealand on different occasions and as a goalkeeper for the Canterbury United Futsal Dragons.
