Fiber access to the home is close to 50 million.


Between April and June, retail billing in the Spanish telecommunications and audiovisual market contracted 2.2% over the same period of 2018, up to 6 215 million euros, as revealed by the National Commission for Markets and Competition (CNMC).

Movistar, Vodafone and Orange , the three main operators, account for 76.3% of those retail revenues . Their participation is still notable, but they are going backwards. Movistar alone dominates 42.7%. In his case, he has managed to improve (1.2%), although not as much as a competitor as the MASMOVIL Group (16.3%), which stars 6.8% of total revenues.

The access to next generation networks improved to reach 59.4 million . The fiber accesses to the home (FTTH) are already counted for 48.7 million . It should be noted that, of the 15.1 million fixed broadband connections that exist, the vast majority (11.8 million) have at least a speed of 30 Mbps.

The number of mobile lines is 54.6 million , of which 83.9% have an internet connection.

The CNMC also reports the progress of the pay TV , which would have 6.8 million subscribers . Up to 4 , 6 million are subscribed to television with IP technology .

In June there were 12.4 million quadruple and quintuple packages contracted in Spain.
