Dell EMC has referred to today as «a historic day.» The reason: the launch of its new Channel Program.

It is the combination of the traditional programs that each company had on its side and that has resulted in “ a simple, predictable and profitable model”, as announced by the giant in a statement signed by Michael Collins, its head of Channel for the EMEA region.

Collins has defined the program as a step «to make Dell EMC the number 1 technology partner.» To start, and from February 20, the company will unify the program in a single portal, where information, tools and resources will be offered.

The program includes the new Titanium Black level , which adds to the already traditional Gold, Platinum and Titanium. Titanium Black represents the highest level and will be exclusive for those partners “totally aligned with the Dell EMC strategy”.

The ecosystem is made up of different categories of partners: from solution providers to cloud service providers, through outsourcers, OEM partners, system integrators and wholesalers.

On the distribution program, benefits are offered such as rebates from the first sale, growth accelerators for key partners and rebates per business and service line. To emphasize that the quarterly marketing funds may be used for demand incentive or training activities. «Profitability is a cornerstone of the new program» for the company.

The company has shown its intention to consolidate the list of wholesalers and strengthen the collaboration with the main distribution partners. All wholesalers will receive the status of Authorized Wholesaler.

A reward program will be launched for those who drive new businesses. Dell EMC services may also be resold; those who gain competencies in consulting services may offer them for themselves.
