Intel just lowered prices of processors for computers desktop of the ninth generation, specifically the F and KF models, that is, the models without integrated graphics. An Intel Core i7-9700F is the same chip as an Intel Core i7-9700, but without the graphics unit, basically, with the same cores and threads, the same base and boost frequencies , the same cache , etc. The “KF” version is nothing more than the “F” model with overclocking capability, since the “K” implies that the multiplier is unlocked.

Now we are going to the prices (in dollars, yes):

  • Core i9- 9900KF: $ 463 ($ 25 down from $ 488)
  • Core i9-9700KF: $ 349 ($ 25 down from $ 374)
  • Core i7-9700F: $ 298 ($ 37 down from $ 335)
  • Core i5-9600KF: $ 237 ($ 25 down from $ 262)
  • Core i5-9500F: $ 167 ($ 25 down from $ 192)
  • Core i5-9400F: $ 157 ($ 25 down from $ 182)
  • Core i3-9350KF: $ 148 ($ 21 down from $ 169)
  • Core i3-9100F: $ 97 ($ 25 down from $ 122)

All processors have dropped in price , and it was time, since until now the normal processors and the «F» had the same price , despite lacking these seconds of the graphics unit, as we said above. Obviously, we say this considering the price recommended by Intel, since stores took advantage of this diversity of features to lower the price on their part. Now, however, Intel itself has wanted to economically distance the F CPUs from the commons by subtracting some $ 25 from the majority. Keep this in mind in your next purchases.
