Just a year after announcing the movement BusinessObjects towards the analytical and the cloud, SAP has just announced in their conference, SAP TechEd, held in Barcelona, which incorporates the platform sources of Big Data such as Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery and SparkSQL, as well as interfaces such as SAP Digital Boardroom and Microsoft Surface Hub.

The manufacturer’s efforts at Digital Boardroom, an analytics solution in real time, will be extended to the Microsoft Surface Hub, a device that Microsoft has argued that is having a strong demand in the company. The support Surface Hub also will be displayed at the beginning of 2017.

Nic Smith, senior vice president, global product marketing SAP, has stated that the updates of Business Objects Cloud are designed to add more local data sources, machine learning and sources of Big Data.

Smith explained that BusinessObjects has a “small percentage” of customers of the cloud with the most on-pemise. “The strategy is to innovate in on-premise and the cloud, and build a bridge to the hybrid strategies dual”.
