According to IDC data, last year almost 4 out of 10 servers arrived from outside Western Europe.

 

Much of the infrastructure used in their data centers in Western Europe the service providers come from abroad.

Specifically, IDC reveals that 38% of servers purchased last year for these data centers came from outside the region . They mainly came from the United States and Asia, where they have their multinational headquarters operating in Europe.

The largest consumers of servers in 2016 were the managed service providers and the system integrators , which together accounted for 29% of consumption in Western Europe. With 22% they are followed by hyperscale providers , that is, companies like Google, Amazon Web Services and Facebook.

The consultant that offers all this data also reveals that the original design manufacturers are leaders in the hyperscale market.
