Cayin company at the exhibition NAMM Musikmesse Russia 2018 presented in the Russian market an improved portable player N5 Mark II. The novelty received the letter S in the title and more advanced stuffing. The device can be used for mobile listening to music or as an analog source for a desktop amplifier or active speakers. Cayin N5 Mark II S is made in a robust stainless steel case, equipped with a 3.5-inch touch screen, covered with tempered glass. Also, there is an additional 2.5-mm balanced headphone output, which allows improving the sound quality due to the corresponding cable. Also, the player has a linear output rated at 2 V, which is suitable for audio equipment with an input impedance of more than ten kΩ. This allows you to use the N5 Mark II S as an analog source for an amplifier or active speakers. The player is based on a four-core Rockchip RK3188 processor with 2 GB of RAM and is running a modified version of Android with the ability to install various music applications. For the sound in it meet the digital-to-analog converter ESS9018K2M, three amplifiers OPA1652, and three amplifiers OPA1622. The amount of internal storage has been increased to 64 GB. There is also support for two microSD-cards with a capacity of 400 GB each. Thus, the user can carry around 800 GB of music.
