Poco F1: Snapdragon 845 and dual camera for $ 299

At today’s presentation in New Delhi, Xiaomi introduced the flagshipsmartphone of its Pocophone sub-brand called Poco F1. The devicereceived a liquid cooling system, a capacious battery, and anadvanced Face Unlock system, as well as an exclusive «armored»version.

«The heart» of the device was the eight-core chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 with a clock speed of 2.8 GHz and the Adena 630 GPU. The liquid cooling system ensures stable operation of the processor even when demanding applications are launched. The amount of RAM is 6 or 8 GB, depending on the modification. The size of the internal storage is 64, 128 or 256 GB. Expansion of memory with the help of microSD cards up to 256 GB is supported.

Display smartphone with a diagonal of 6.18 inches, a resolution ofFull HD + (2246×1080 pixels) and an aspect ratio of 18: 9 received acutout at the top and a coating of Gorilla Glass. In the «monobrovi»is an infrared sensor for face recognition, which works correctlyeven in the dark.

On the rear panel is a dual camera with the primary sensor Sony IMX363 at 12 megapixels with a pixel size of 1.4 microns, and an auxiliary Samsung at 5 megapixels. There is a novelty running Android 8.1 Oreo with the proprietary shell MIUI 9.6. Upgrade to Android 9.0 Pie is expected in the 4th quarter of this year.

The version of the smartphone with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB storage on the Indian market will cost $ 299. Modification of 6/128 GB will cost $ 349, and for the top version, 8/256 GB will be asked $ 420. The price of the «armored» version of 8/256 GB will be about $ 430. Issued Poco F1 will be in red, blue and black colors; Armored Edition will be available only in black.
